Conferences
Party Conferences
If debating and developing policy interests you, NSW Labor conferences are a must-attend. Not only are conferences highlights of the Party calendar, they are also the supreme policy making and ratifying bodies of the Party.
Branches, Electorate Councils and Unions develop policy locally and elect delegates to NSW Labor Annual Conference and Country Conference.
All Party members are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
NSW Labor Annual Conference
The 2011 NSW Labor Conference was held at Town Hall on July 9-10.
As the highest decision making body of NSW Labor, Annual Conference is a great experience for you to be a part of.
You can attend as an elected delegate representing your State or Federal Electoral Council or affiliated union or as a conference observer. The weekend is well attended by State and Federal Parliamentarians and a very enjoyable opportunity to bring new policy ideas to the Party.
Country Conference
Country Labor members come together from all over the state to discuss and develop Country Labor policy. Many State and Federal Parliamentarians attend and participate in the weekend as well.
Each year Country Labor Conference is held at a different location across the State and held in conjunction with the Country Labor dinner. In recent years conference has been held in Queanbeyan, Dubbo, Bathurst and Port Macquarie.
The 2012 Country Conference will be held at the Cessnock Performing Arts Centre from Friday 23 – Sunday 25 February 2012.
