David Harris MP

Member for Wyong

David Harris – MACE. Dip Teach (Newcastle) Cert Educational Studies (Newcastle) Cert School Management (UNSW)

David was born in Gosford Hospital in 1966 and grew up in Woy Woy attending Woy Woy South Public School and Woy Woy High School where he was School Captain in 1983.

David is Married to Sherelle and has two daughters aged 5 and 7. He lives in Hamlyn Terrace.

David joined the ALP in 1987 and has served in a number of executive positions at Branch and FEC level. This included President of Wyong Branch for 5 years. David is also a member of the NSW ALP Education & Training Policy Committee.

Since being elected to NSW Parliament in March 2007, David has worked hard to improve services and infrastructure for local families. His proudest achievement so far has been the opening of the Trade School at Wyong TAFE, something he fought hard for in the election campaign.

David currently serves as Deputy Chair of the ICAC Committee, and is a member of StaySafe Committee and Regional and Rural Broadband Committee.

David is the Central Coast Representative on the North Sydney Central Coast Advisory Committee NSW Cancer Council.

He is Patron of Norah Head Search & Rescue, Central Coast Swimming Association, Lakes Surf Club, Toukley Pipes & Drums and Kanwal PS Band.
