Member for Gosford
Marie Andrews has lived on the Woy Woy Peninsula for over 20 years and has been actively working for the community in the areas of health, youth, roads, education, law and order, seniors and public transport.
Marie has worked hard continuing to improve services in her role as the local member, securing:
- Upgrades of Brisbane Water Secondary College campuses, Henry Kendall High and Umina and Ettalong Public Schools;
- Renovations at Woy Woy Hospital and funding for a transitional care unit;
- Establishment of the Woy Woy Dental Clinic;
- Extension of the $2.50 Pensioner Excursion Ticket to cover private buses on the Central Coast;
- Improvements to the Woy Woy Rail/Bus interchange and extensions to the commuter carpark;
- Upgrading of Woy Woy Police Station which is a 24 hour/7 days per week service;
- Building of Umina Fire Station;
- Over $100 million for Gosford Hospital redevelopment including surgical admissions centre, MRI machine and new children’s ward;
- Building of the Woy Woy Children’s Court;
- Providing increased breast screening facilities;
- Working to ensure continued access for local residents to the Ettalong foreshore;
- Improvements at West Gosford intersection and Dane Drive, Masons Parade in Gosford.
