Vote in the Policy Forum and make a difference today

Posted: Friday, 28 October 2011 | By: Penny Sharpe

If you don't participate you can't complain. So have you voted yet for the members of the new NSW Labor Policy Forum?

What is the thing you want to see changed in the world? Here is your chance to elect people who share the same view. Voting is still open. It's time to vote.

The Policy Forum will be the key body that shapes the policies NSW Labor takes to the next state election. For the first time MPs, unions and rank and file party members will be jointly responsible for drafting our platform that will go to state conference for debate.

Who is elected to the Policy Forum will make a big difference.

The voting system is online and is easy to use. The online voting is secure and anonymous (don't worry I checked). If the online voting is hard, give head office a call on 9207 2000 and they can send you a postal vote.

Not sure who to vote for? Visit the NSW Labor site and view a statement from all of the candidates. There is also websites, videos and social media accounts. Some groups like Rainbow Labor actually surveyed the candidates.

This is a first for Labor in NSW. Let's shape a new policy process that we can all be a part of.

Voted a couple of weeks back. Lots of good candidates who have obviously put in a lot of hard work, especially those getting out and meeting people. Seems like a great idea, should be snapped up on a federal level too.
