Policy Caucuses

NSW Labor holds many forums for debate and discussion on important issues concerning social justice, health and education to name a few. In these forums members are encouraged to express their opinions and views.

Our rank and file members expressed a desire for bigger, diverse and active policy committees.  In response, NSW Labor will establish Policy Caucuses to replace the existing Policy Committees.

The Policy Caucuses will be open to all Party members, meet at least four times annually, and interact with other Party Units in developing policy.

The 15 Executive Members for each Caucus will be elected by Annual Conference, but be limited to serving for three Annual Conferences.

The new Policy Caucuses will better engage and increase the participation of Labor supporters and members by making policy discussions more accessible.
