John Robertson BIO

  • Member for Blacktown, Opposition Leader, Shadow Minister for Western Sydney

John Robertson has lived in Western Sydney for over 20 years, and he is raising his three children there with wife Julie.

John left school at 16 to complete his apprenticeship as an electrical fitter mechanic. He worked for the Electrical Trades Union and Unions NSW for over 20 years, where he stood up for working people every day.

As Secretary of Unions NSW, John fought side by side with millions of Australians on the Your Rights at Work campaign.

John plans to stand up for Blacktown and the people of NSW, just like he’s been standing up for working people for over 20 years.
